Dr. Patel is a Fellowship trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist specializing in all aspects of pediatric head and neck problems.
He graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His Internship and Otolaryngology training were performed within the Department of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. He then completed a dedicated fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at one of the premier Pediatric Otolaryngology programs in the United States at Northwestern University / Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
During his fellowship training, Dr. Patel acquired specialized knowledge and training to manage a wide range of common and complex pediatric head and neck conditions including: noisy breathing, laryngomalacia, hoarseness, voice problems, hearing loss, recurrent ear infections, aspiration and swallowing disorders, recurrent sinus infections, enlarged tonsils and adenoids and obstructive sleep apnea. His particular interest and expertise is in acquired and congenital pediatric airway anomalies as well as complex head and neck masses and disorders that include thyroglossal duct cysts, enlarged lymph nodes, branchial cleft anomalies and pediatric thyroid and parotid masses. He is Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
