Dr. Chad Carlton is a board certified, fellowship trained bariatric surgeon. He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and a leader in bariatric surgery. Dr.Carlton, working with PPG Health, created Longevity Bariatric and Wellness Center, a comprehensive program that includes primary care physicians, a registered dietician, cardiologists, behavioral health professionals and medical weight loss management.
Dr. Carlton is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and specializes in sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, revisional surgery for patients having previous weight loss surgeries. He also performs the gastric balloon, gastric band, and anti-reflux procedures for GERD.
Dr. Carlton is a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, and attended college at the University of Texas in Austin. Next, he received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Carlton then completed his internship and general surgery residency at the renowned Allegheny General Hospital, Thompson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals in the nation, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Finally, Dr. Carlton completed a fellowship in bariatric and robotic surgery at BMI of Texas in San Antonio with Drs. Duperier and Seger and the University of Texas at Houston with Dr. Wilson as a Minimally Invasive Surgeon of Texas (MIST) member. This acclaimed program is recognized as a world leader in minimally invasive and robotic weight loss surgery.
